There are really many foods that are good for the health of your brain, mainly fruits and vegetables. The vitamins and nutrients in these are good for your whole body. However, getting your veggies isn’t the only thing you should be eating when it comes to foods that will help your brain and memory.

Fish is probably the number one thing you should be getting in your diet for a healthy brain, and the oils in fish are great for a healthy heart as well. Those oils, or fats, are Omega 3-fatty acids. It is recommended, for most people to eat three servings of fish a week.

Take The Right Vitamins And Supplements

If you aren’t getting enough Omega 3’s and antioxidants in your diet through actual food, you may want to consider taking vitamins and supplements. A multi-vitamin with antioxidants is one good choice. You could also take fish oils or flaxseed oil for the good fats.

There are also supplements out there specifically created for your brain health. They contain the vitamins and minerals you need to keep your brain strong and healthy.

Train Your Brain

Physical fitness isn’t the only fitness that is good for your brain. You should also do things that keep your mind working. Things like reading and doing word puzzles are great for keeping your mind healthy.

You may even want to try things like memory games, or look for apps on your smartphone that can help you train your brain.
