Losing weight, boosting your cardiovascular health, and expanding your quality of life are all great reasons to exercise regularly. Research has found that people who exercise regularly live longer and have a higher satisfaction with their lives. There are many people who don’t know how to exercise effectively, though. They’re confused by all of the different conflicting reports and research. One report one day might say that running is the most effective exercise, and then another report a few days later might say that running is bad for your knees. It’s hard to keep track of it all. In addition to that, it’s hard to afford to exercise. Obviously, certain exercises such as running are fairly affordable, but they’re not always doable. If you live somewhere very cold or very hot, you might not be able to run very often, so you want a treadmill. However, treadmills are incredibly expensive. Your best option is boxing as exercise. Not only is it easy and affordable, it’s more effective than running.
More Effective Than Running
If a woman weighed 11 stone and went running for 30 minutes at eight kilometres per hour, she would burn about 290 calories. One pound of fat is considered to be about 3,500 calories, so to lose one pound she would have to run about 15 times without increasing her food intake at all. That’s not hugely effective. However, if that same woman weighing 11 stone were to box for 30 minutes, she would burn about 355 calories. That means, she would only have to box about 10 times without increasing her food intake. That’s remarkably more effective.
You could lose weight 33% faster than running if you were to start boxing. Furthermore, the idea that running is bad for your knees is a myth, but it does hurt some people. Because of different conditions and body types, some people aren’t built for running. They can still box, though. When you’re boxing, you can bounce around as much as you want. Alternately, you can keep your feet planted and spare your knees. Those options mean you can do what’s right for you.
Less Expensive Than Running
Running outside is a fairly cheap activity; you only need some shorts, a shirt, and a pair of shoes. However, it can still get pretty pricey pretty quickly. Those shorts and shoes aren’t necessarily very cheap. Also, if the weather doesn’t cooperate, you might want to move inside. Treadmills are very expensive. A punch bag will allow you to box in your own home whenever you want at a very low price. They are fairly simple tools that don’t require much construction, which makes them very affordable. However, not all bags are created equal. You need to make sure you are buying a bag from a quality supplier.
If you buy a great bag from a great company, you probably won’t have to replace it for years. It should last for a long time. It should be one made of great materials and constructed with the highest standards.
